Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our growing non-emergency medical transportation team. If you're a certified EMT looking for a dynamic role where you can make a real difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you.
As a non-emergency EMT, you'll be responsible for providing safe and comfortable transportation for patients to and from medical appointments, dialysis treatments, and other healthcare facilities. This is a crucial role that requires excellent patient care skills and a commitment to safety.
Skills You Have:
Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills:
- EMT experience with a strong foundation in emergency medical services.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, including vital signs monitoring.
- Experience with driving emergency vehicles under pressure while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) usage.
- Ability to perform under stress with excellent decision-making skills in urgent situations. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about providing high-quality emergency medical services while working collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment.
What You'll Do:
- Safely transport patients via stretcher or wheelchair, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Provide basic life support (BLS) as needed, including administering oxygen and performing CPR.
- Complete accurate and timely patient care reports and trip logs.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure effective communication and patient care.
- Maintain and clean the vehicle and medical equipment to company standards.
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Safely operate emergency vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid EMT certification in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Meet all state and local licensing requirements for an EMT.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients with the assistance of another EMT.
