Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating to optimize table turnover
- Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries
- Coordinate with the dining staff to assign tables efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Open Table or Resy
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of guest areas
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns promptly and courteously
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems )
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest needs efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and guest focus
