We are a DME (durable medical equipment) supply company seeking a dedicated Delivery Service Technician.
The Delivery Service Technician is the key customer service position in our company as the face of the company to our patients. Days will be spent working directly with patients in their homes and in the store.
Salary: $19-$23/hour DOE (mandatory 2-3 month training period at $19/hour)
*Full benefits available after training period
Responsibilities:
Delivering and setting up medical equipment according to company policy and procedures
Instructing the patient on the safe and proper use & maintenance of the equipment being delivered
Ensuring the patient’s complete comprehension of oral and written instructions related to the use of equipment/supplies
Working with the patient to ensure a safe environment for the use of their equipment/supplies
Performing ongoing follow-up visits to patients
Completing all paperwork promptly and accurately to support the delivery and billing functions of the company
Performing routine safety checks and inspections to ensure that the equipment is working properly
Maintaining the warehouse and ensuring this area is clean, organized, and complies with all state and federal laws
Job Requirements:
Passion for quality customer service and a can-do attitude
A minimum of one year of experience in a customer service environment is required
Must have strong people skills and an interest in helping to improve the lives of others
Must be mechanically inclined and organized
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Clean criminal record
The ability to lift and load the equipment into and out of delivery vehicles and patient's homes is required
Excellent verbal, written, and assessment skills are a must
Good problem-solving skills
Legible handwriting
Competency required in:
Ability to assemble oxygen, respiratory, power-operated vehicles, wheelchairs, and other medical equipment
Ability to explain a process and educate a patient and their family
Ability to complete a form legibly, excellent phone skills and call management, sequence of events/ situation analysis (multiple choice), spelling, and reading comprehension
