Job Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support for the City's human resources functions, helping ensure efficient and professional personnel operations. This position assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and employee engagement activities while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities — Candidate will assist with the following tasks:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field preferred. Three (3) years of administrative, customer service, or human resources experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Knowledge of basic human resources principles and practices. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and the public.
