Available Opportunities & Schedules:
- 40 Hours/Week: 5 weekdays, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (includes scheduled lates).
- 32 Hours/Week: 4 weekdays, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (includes scheduled lates).
Position Summary:
In this role, you will provide and guide direct patient care within the surgical suite. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence while serving as a Circulating Nurse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Surgical Advocacy: Perform the circulating nurse role, identifying the patient and verifying the correct surgical intervention through strict "time-out" protocols.
- Clinical Preparation: Assemble and verify the functionality of equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to each procedure.
- Patient Safety: Assist with safe patient positioning and prepare the operative site according to clinical protocols.
- Aseptic Integrity: Monitor and ensure strict compliance with aseptic techniques throughout the perioperative period.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, comprehensive patient care records and clinical forms.
- Compliance: Ensure all processes strictly adhere to regulatory agencies (OSHA, ODH, TJC) and uphold HIPAA standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking, effective delegation, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism: Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
