CRANE MECHANIC/HYDRAULIC TECHNICIAN
About Us: BIK Boom Trucks LLC in Milford, MA is a service and repair facility that specializes in repair and maintenance of truck mounted loading/unloading equipment such as, articulating knuckle cranes, stick booms, truck mounted forklifts and sign trucks.
PAY STRUCTURE: 30-45 $/hour (negotiable)
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: BIK Boom trucks is looking for responsible yet qualified applicants, which must have experience in installation, and servicing/diagnostics of various cranes and unloaders. Applicant must possess the ability to diagnose and implement repairs with minimal supervision. Lead and/or mentor Jr. Mechanics and assistants. Make diagnoses and repairs on various 12-volt systems, and cordless remote controls. Applicant should be familiar with fabrication, welding, and torch use.
REQUIREMENTS: The following requirements are an asset, however applicants may also be willing to learn. Furthermore, ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematics. Effectively use hydraulic and electrical diagnostic equipment. Ability to communicate effectively. Both written and orally to supervisor, Jr. mechanic/assistants, and customers.
- Able to read hydraulic/electrical schematics
- Effectively use hydraulic and electrical diagnostic equipment
- Be able to communicate effectively both written and orally to Supervisors, Jr. Mechanics/Assistants and customers
- Hydraulics license a plus
- 3-5 years shop experience
- Ability to travel periodically
- Strong work ethic and team player a must
- Class B CDL or above an asset, but not required
