Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily store operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service standards.
- Lead and motivate a diverse retail sales team to achieve sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management.
- Oversee employee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing development to foster a knowledgeable and engaged workforce.
- Manage scheduling, shift management, and payroll processing to ensure optimal staffing levels and operational efficiency.
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting efforts to attract top talent aligned with store needs.
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting stock counts, and coordinating purchasing and merchandising activities.
- Handle cash handling, cashiering duties, pricing adjustments, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations with accuracy and integrity.
- Support operational management tasks such as bookkeeping, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Enhance customer satisfaction through excellent communication skills, phone etiquette, and proactive problem-solving.
- Collaborate with management on sales management strategies to maximize retail math efficiency and overall store performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry.
- Strong supervisory experience with a track record of leading successful sales teams.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management systems, POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills.
- Knowledge of retail product lines, merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and operational procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively through strong organizational skills and time management.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development initiatives.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes, payroll administration, bookkeeping practices, and inventory control methods.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams while fostering a positive work environment.
