Responsibilities
- Stock shelves efficiently by organizing products and maintaining proper merchandising standards
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for customer transactions, including cash handling and processing payments
- Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new or featured items
- Assist with inventory management through stocking, replenishing, and organizing merchandise to ensure availability and visual appeal
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits during customer interactions to increase sales and enhance their shopping experience
Qualifications
No qualifications needed but appreciated if you do have:
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery store environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings if applicable
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform stocking duties efficiently
