As our team continues to grow, we are excited to welcome a full-time licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). You will provide speech-language pathology services to patients with cognitive/communication or swallowing dysfunction, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation. This role requires travel between our SNFs in Muskegon and Whitehall.
Speech Language Pathologist-Local Traveler
**Location: Whitehall - 916 E Lewis Street Whitehall, MI 49461 AND Muskegon - 1061 W Hackley Avenue Muskegon, MI 49441 **
**Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, Flexible Scheduling available **
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language screenings and evaluations to determine cognitive/communication and/or swallowing status using standardized tests and measures.
- Develop, implement, and regularly assess treatment plans to maximize patient independence and function in accordance with ASHA professional and ethical standards.
- Check, instruct, assign, and review CFY work as assigned and in accordance with ASHA standards.
- Confer with physicians and other practitioners to obtain patient information, recommend treatment revisions, and integrate speech therapy with overall patient care.
- Provide accurate documentation to support medical record quality, continuity of care, reimbursement guidelines, and agency requirements.
- Educate and instruct patients and families/caregivers on treatment procedures to continue outside therapy and home exercise programs; participate in patient and family care conferences as requested.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities, new program development, agency meetings, and other activities as directed by the Agency Administrator and/or site-specific Director of Therapy to support effective agency operations and expand clinical services.
- Promote current clinical practice standards through internal/external continuing education, in-services, and agency-sponsored certifications.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all safety, infection control, and other required guidelines.
- Rotate to other clinic locations to meet patient care needs and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Licensure as required by the State of Michigan
- Ability to respond effectively to the needs of patients and their families
- Physical ability to exert force up to 20 pounds
- Valid Driver's License

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
