Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan and follow optimal routes, ensuring timely deliveries
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking for leaks, tire conditions, and proper functioning of safety devices
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and safety concerns
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements for Hazmat and Tanker transportation
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various conditions
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, dry vans and tankers is a plus
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards
- Skilled in manual handling of freight and truck loading/unloading procedures
- Experience operating trucks with manual transmission is preferred
- Excellent navigation skills using GPS systems to follow over-the-road (OTR) driving routes efficiently
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling dangerous goods and hazardous materials

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,500.00 per week
