Duties
- Deliver a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation massage tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern
- Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions
- Educate clients on pain management strategies, occupational health practices, and self-care techniques
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, client progress, and session notes in compliance with licensing requirements
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards by following proper sanitation procedures and CPR protocols
- Provide excellent patient service by creating a calming environment, listening attentively, and addressing client questions or concerns
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification to practice professionally
- Proven experience in massage therapy, particularly in medical spa or occupational health settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop customized treatment plans
- CPR certification is required for emergency preparedness
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and foster trust
