American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and proficiency with Siemens Revelations/Hologic Dimension equipment.

Outpatient clinic setting within the Mammography department
-
Performs a minimum of 20 screening mammograms per day with a daily caseload of 55
-
Primary focus on screening mammography with diagnostic exams performed as schedule allows
-
Day shift schedule of 5x8 hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
-
No weekend requirement and no on-call requirement
-
May be required to float to sister facilities throughout the Charleston area as needed

Uses Epic charting system

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist

BLS and ARRT (M) certification required
-
SCRQSA (M) certification required
-
SC state license required if applicable

Must be proficient operating Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension equipment

Must be able to perform both screening and diagnostic mammograms

Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required

Responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Requires autonomy, effective teamwork, strong communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility

Scrub color requirement is any shade of pink or dark teal top with black bottoms
-
Unit orientation takes place on-site from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a travelers

Candidates must live within 60 miles of the facility to be considered non-local, though local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
-
All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August through October
