You will assist with various tasks that facilitate the rehabilitation process for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions by preparing equipment and ensuring a safe environment.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, providing encouragement and support throughout their rehabilitation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area, including equipment sanitization.
- Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to enhance recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Understand and apply medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and acute care practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient care and inpatient rehabilitation protocols is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on empathy and support.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
