Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive social work services to students, including crisis intervention and behavioral health support
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and families to develop individualized support plans aligned with Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks
- Conduct assessments related to child protective services, child welfare, and mental health needs to ensure student safety and well-being
- Facilitate conflict management and cultural diversity counseling to promote an inclusive school environment
- Assist students with disabilities by coordinating special education services and ensuring compliance with educational regulations
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques and intervention strategies
- Support families by offering guidance on child development, childcare, and community resources
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, preferably within schools or similar environments
- Demonstrated expertise in child protective services, crisis intervention, behavioral health, and mental health care
- Familiarity with special education processes and compliance requirements within educational institutions
- Strong background in working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and implementing culturally responsive practices
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student success and well-being
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques and behavioral intervention strategies
- Prior involvement in school experience or school-based social work roles is highly desirable
