Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SAT English Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both subjects and a proven track record of helping students improve their SAT scores. The instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons, providing personalized feedback, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Teach SAT English content, strategies, and test-taking skills to high school students.
- Lesson Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students.
- Assessment: Evaluate students' progress through practice tests, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback.
- Support: Offer personalized support and guidance to help students achieve their target scores.
- Motivation: Inspire and motivate students to excel in their SAT preparation and academic endeavors.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective test preparation program.
- Adaptability: Stay updated on changes to the SAT exam and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Experience: Experience teaching SAT English. Experience with other standardized tests (ACT, GRE, etc.) is a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of SAT content, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Certifications: Teaching certification or credential is preferred but not required.
- Availability: Flexible schedule with the ability to teach Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm, and weekends as needed.

The pay rate for this position will be determined based on your educational background and relevant experience. Please note: the compensation range listed on Indeed is an estimate and may not reflect the actual pay for this role.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
