Duties
- Greet patients warmly, manage intake procedures, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Assist chiropractors during patient examinations and treatments by preparing treatment rooms and handling equipment.
- Conduct patient assessments by gathering health history, monitoring vital signs, and observing responses to therapies.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, exercises, and lifestyle modifications to support their recovery and wellness goals.
- Maintain detailed records of patient progress, update medical charts, and document treatment sessions thoroughly.
- Support clinic operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring a clean, organized environment.
- Communicate clearly with patients about procedures, answer questions about their care, and provide ongoing support to foster trust and comfort.
Skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Welcome and escort patients to treatment rooms.
● Obtain and document patient histories, pain levels, and subjective complaints.
● Prepare patients for chiropractic treatment and therapeutic procedures.
● Perform physician-directed soft tissue manual therapy, including:
● Myofascial release
● Trigger point therapy
● Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
● Percussion massage device therapy
● Assisted stretching
● Muscle mobilization techniques
● Instruct and supervise patients through physician-prescribed therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programs.
● Apply hot packs, cold packs, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, traction, and other therapeutic modalities as permitted by state regulations and office protocols.
● Assist with patient positioning during treatments.
● Educate patients on home exercise programs and ergonomic recommendations as directed by the chiropractor.
● Clean, disinfect, and prepare treatment rooms and equipment between patients.
● Maintain treatment supplies and report inventory needs.
● Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and other front office duties as needed.
● Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
● Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and all office safety policies and procedures.
● Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
