Job Summary
Uni Pâtisserie & Café is looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier / Barista to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment, providing excellent customer service, and preparing high-quality coffee and beverages. You will be the face of our brand, ensuring every guest has a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service and hospitality
- Accurately handle cash, credit card, and digital payments
- Operate the Toast POS system for orders and transactions
- Take customer orders efficiently and answer questions about menu items
- Prepare coffee and espresso-based beverages using professional coffee equipment (including Rocket espresso machines)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, coffee station, and dining area
- Multitask effectively during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and quality
- Restock supplies as needed and follow FIFO practices
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate clearly
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and company standards
Requirements
- Previous experience handling cash and POS systems (Toast experience is a plus)
- Prior barista EXPERIENCE and familiarity with commercial espresso machines (Rocket or similar preferred)
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent multitasking and time-management skills
- Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
