Construction Accounting Manager
Position Summary
Apex Foundation is a leading residential concrete foundation contractor serving the Austin and San Antonio markets. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Construction Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing company.
This position will work closely with company leadership and our outside CPA/CFO to ensure accurate financial records, efficient office operations, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate has construction accounting experience, enjoys improving processes, and takes pride in keeping the financial side of the business running smoothly.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks.
- Process accounts payable and vendor payments.
- Prepare and manage customer billing and accounts receivable.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate job costing and project cost tracking.
- Administer and maintain SupplyPro (or learn the system quickly).
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end close by coordinating with the company’s CPA/CFO.
- Prepare reports and schedules requested by management.
- Help improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
- Support other administrative and office functions as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles.
- Experience with construction software such as SupplyPro, FOUNDATION, Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar is preferred.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
