Summary
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Health Care of South Florida, you will provide therapy services on a per diem basis. This role supports Occupational Therapists in helping patients regain independence and improve daily functioning in home and assisted living settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services in home and ALF settings under the supervision of an OT.
- Assist in implementing individualized care plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Promote patient independence and safety during all interactions.
- Monitor and report patient progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and agency standards.
Qualifications
- Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida.
- Previous home health experience (Required).
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with Kinnser is a plus.
- Current CPR certification (Required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
