Litigation Paralegal – Plaintiff Civil Rights Litigation (Part-Time, Hybrid)
About the Firm
Cody Warner, P.C. is a New York City law firm dedicated to protecting the rights of people accused of crimes and those harmed by police misconduct.
Our firm actively litigates police misconduct claims in federal and state courts. Typical lawsuits include claims against NYPD officers and the City of New York for false arrest, malicious prosecution, and excessive force under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and New York state law.
We are looking for a compassionate and organized Litigation Paralegal to help move litigation forward.
Position Summary
The Litigation Paralegal will assist the attorney during all stages of the case, from pre-litigation all the way through trial.
The successful candidate will become the firm's primary coordinator for medical records, discovery responses, document organization, and litigation support.
The goal of this position is to ensure that every case moves efficiently through discovery while allowing the attorney to focus on depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, and litigation strategy.
The Litigation Paralegal will be expected to work 15-25 hours per week. Although the position is hybrid, it is primarily a remote-based position. In-person work will be mostly limited to going to court to get records, in-court assistance during trial, and witness prep meetings.
