CDL A Delivery Driver
Newark, NJ | $25–$30/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift | Overtime Available
About the Role
We’re partnering with a growing food distribution company in Newark, NJ that is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver. This company delivers refrigerated international food products across the Northeast and is looking for a reliable driver who wants steady, year-round work.
This is a hands-on driving role. It is not no-touch freight. Drivers must be comfortable making multiple stops, loading and unloading product, using hand trucks, ramps, stairs, and liftgates, and working in different weather conditions.
What You’ll Be Driving
- 2021 automatic day cab tractors
- 36 ft, 38 ft, and 48 ft refrigerated trailers
- Trailers with liftgates
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving local and OTR routes
- Delivering refrigerated food products
- Completing routes to states such as VA, VT, ME, NH, MA, RI, and CT
- Loading and unloading product at multiple stops
- Using hand trucks, ramps, stairs, and liftgates
- Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips
- Following DOT safety rules and company policies
- Logging hours, miles, fuel, tolls, and delivery paperwork
- Reporting any vehicle issues, delays, accidents, or violations
What They’re Looking For
- Valid CDL A license
- 2+ years of driving experience preferred
- Experience with 24–26 ft straight trucks preferred
- Comfortable driving day cab tractors with refrigerated trailers
- 1+ year of commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR for the past 3 years
