Job Summary
We are seeking an professional and detail-oriented Security Shift Supervisor to lead our security team during assigned shifts. In this pivotal role, you will oversee security operations, ensure the safety of personnel and property, and coordinate emergency responses when necessary. Your leadership will help maintain a secure environment by supervising security personnel, managing surveillance systems, and implementing loss prevention strategies. Duties
- Supervise security staff during assigned shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure effective coverage and response.
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to detect suspicious activity and ensure operational integrity.
- Conduct regular patrols of premises to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Manage access control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, verifying identities and authorizations.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, conflicts, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Implement loss prevention measures by observing behaviors and conducting inspections to deter theft or vandalism.
- Maintain detailed shift reports, incident logs, and surveillance records for accountability and review purposes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, conflict management, and emergency response procedures.
- Experience with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and access control technology.
- First aid certification and CPR training to handle medical emergencies confidently.
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or related security fields is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership and incident reporting.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
