Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities.
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to perform tasks such as excavation, framing, concrete finishing, and roofing.
- Perform construction site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Execute tasks including drywall installation, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and masonry work with precision.
- Manage construction estimating processes and assist in project planning to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Conduct fabrication, carpentry (including trim carpentry and door hanging), glazing (glass installation), and restoration work as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as caulking, framing, plastering, welding, and cabinetry installation.
- Ensure all work aligns with safety protocols while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of various trades such as masonry, carpentry, roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, and concrete finishing.
- Familiarity with construction management practices and estimating procedures.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate execution of tasks.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials including stucco, hardscape elements, glass, cabinetry, drywall, tile, flooring materials, and structural framing.
- Experience with Bluebeam software or similar digital tools for project documentation is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks involving lifting, bending, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
