We are seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Memory Care Unit in a 120-bed skilled nursing facility. The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, supervising nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
This leadership role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for caring for residents with dementia and memory-related conditions.
Oversee daily operations of the Memory Care unit in collaboration with the Director of Nursing
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Ensure quality resident care in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations
Monitor and evaluate resident care plans and clinical outcomes
Conduct clinical rounds and respond to resident/family concerns
Coordinate interdisciplinary care planning
Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
Participate in quality assurance and infection control initiatives
Active LPN/RN license in the state of Florida
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
Experience with dementia or memory care strongly preferred
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience as a Unit Manager, Charge Nurse, or Nurse Supervisor in a skilled nursing facility
Experience with EMR systems in long-term care
Wound care or infection control experience a plus
