We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Infant Teacher for our childcare center. Candidates must be available for 7:15-4:00 and comfortable working with children from 6 weeks to 2 years old. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of infant development, strong communication skills, and a nurturing demeanor to provide the highest level of care to our youngest learners.
Responsibilities:
- Child Development: Create and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of infants aged 6 weeks to 23 months.
- Primary Caregiving: Serve as the primary caregiver for a small group of infants, fostering secure attachments and providing individualized care and attention to each child's needs.
- Daily Activities: Plan and facilitate a variety of stimulating and age-appropriate activities, including sensory experiences, tummy time, music and movement, and language development exercises.
- Parent Communication: Establish and maintain open and ongoing communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates, sharing observations, and collaborating on strategies to support each child's development and well-being.
- Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment at all times, adhering to strict sanitation protocols and ensuring that all infant care practices meet or exceed state licensing regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other daycare staff members to coordinate schedules, share observations, and ensure consistency in care across all age groups. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with infants in a daycare, nursery, or similar childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required. Additional certifications in infant care, such as Infant CPR and Safe Sleep Practices, are a plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine love for working with infants are essential.
- Clearances: Must pass background checks and screenings required by state regulations and/or daycare policies.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
