Job Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt 16-24 hrs
Compensation: $17.00-$19.00 hour
Summary: Works with Residential Programs Coordinator and other Program staff to develop and support residential clients, to ensure they receive appropriate care including basic needs, work therapy, and support in identifying, addressing and overcoming obstacles which could prevent them from ultimately living sober, independent lives in the community. Contributes to direction and accomplishment of Mission functions and operations as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as client support, and assists Peers for client care in residential program, as determined collaboratively with other Peers.
- Nurtures clients in their progress through the curriculum, workstation assignments and development of personal goals and plans statements.
- Assists to maintain order at the Mission and enforce policies, rules of conduct and disciplinary measures as appropriate.
- Ensures the overall security, safety and cleanliness of the Mission and an atmosphere which conveys the love of God to all clients, staff, and visitors.
- Documents client’s progress in daily email communication at end of each shift, including notes of meetings, evaluation of workstation performance, participation in Christian activities, and general contributions to the life of the Mission.
- Participates in regular Team meetings and staff meetings.
- Communicates with other Peers and program teams, as appropriate about issues which may impact the functioning of the Mission and/or the well-being of clients.
- Assists in making sure that shift responsibilities are always maintained at the Mission.
- Has the ability to effectively communicate with clients and other staff members.
- CMT certified/trained to administer patients’ medications according to policies and procedures
- Assists with the development of solutions to problems that arise.
- Communicates often and effectively with other team leaders to make sure all clients are assigned to areas that best meet the needs of all.
- Works to resolve conflicts in a straightforward and timely manner.

- Must be proficient enough with computers to document clients’ progress in email communication and help research service options and referrals for clients in the community as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent movement/motion of both upper and lower extremities, including, but not limited to reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling or crouching, Medium lifting up to 50 lbs.
