Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Summer Program Teacher with a focus in Science and Art to join our team this summer. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young learners and able to make science and art come alive through engaging, hands-on activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate Science and Art lessons for students
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Incorporate project-based and hands-on learning experiences
- Supervise and support students throughout the program
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and program staff as needed
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom
Qualifications
- Background in Education, Fine Arts, Science, or a related field (degree preferred)
- Experience working with school-age children
- Creative, energetic, and passionate about teaching
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance Card required (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience
- Weekly payment range: $350 - $500
Schedule
- Five days per week, eight hours per day
- Other option: two-three days per week, four hours per day
Pay: $22.75 - $28.00 per hour
