Senior Revenue Accountant (Contract)About the Opportunity
Seattle Search Group is partnering with a confidential client to identify an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant for a contract opportunity.
This role will support the accounting team with revenue recognition, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, experience applying ASC 606, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform revenue accounting in accordance with ASC 606.
- Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition.
- Prepare monthly revenue journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile deferred revenue and related balance sheet accounts.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting.
- Analyze revenue transactions and investigate variances.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
- Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation.
- Support process improvements and special accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with month-end close.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA-track preferred.
- Experience with SaaS, software, or subscription-based revenue models.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Experience supporting audits and financial reporting.
