Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other building systems.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and fixtures as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments as necessary to facilitate repairs or improvements.
- Operate various tools and equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles for delivery or transport tasks when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in general maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- Skills in customer service and effective communication are essential for interacting with staff and management.
- Experience with delivery driving, route driving, or courier services is a plus.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred for any driving responsibilities associated with the role.
