Brandon Residential Treatment Center is seeking caring, dependable Residential Counselors to support boys and young men in a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment. You’ll play a key role in daily routines, emotional support, and life skill development.
Position Responsibilities:
- Build positive, supportive relationships with youth using a strength-based approach.
- Supervise and engage residents in daily routines, life skills, and recreational activities.
- Support meal prep, cleaning, and laundry to maintain a safe, home-like setting.
- Facilitate social and life skills groups.
- Administer medications (MAP certification required, training provided).
- Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum one year experience working in human services/ mental health field preferred.
- Must have a valid ID and CORI/ DCF background check.
- Able to participate in physical interventions.
- MAP certified a plus.
Schedule:
Sunday: 9am-11pm
Monday: 2pm-11pm
Tuesday: 2pm-11pm
Wednesday: 12:30pm-11pm
OR
Wednesday: 12:30pm-11pm
Thursday: 2pm-11pm
Friday: 2pm-11pm
Saturday: 9am-11pm
Salary:
- Starting at $18.00/ hour
- w/ MAP Certification: $21.00/ hour
