Title: Accounting, Payroll and Bookkeeping Clerk

Job Summary
Multi-disciplined faith-based organization seeks an experienced multi-talented individual that can serve and provide accounting and payroll management services to our family of companies. Candidate must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
The overall purpose of this position is to ensure accurate accounting and bookkeeping services, manage budgets. He or She is responsible for assisting in safeguarding the assets of the organization through account analysis and regular monitoring of financial transactions. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the financial transactions in assigned general ledger accounts are recorded in the general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Candidate must be experienced with QuickBook software, account reconciliations, budget development and tracking, AR and AP processing and very skilled in the use of excel. This position reports to the organization CEO and has 0 direct reports. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Key Responsibilities
§ Ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition
§ Reviewing budget to actual
§ Analyzing product usage statistics
§ Maintaining and monitoring monthly account analysis and reconciliations and resolving
reconciling items and issues in a timely manner.
§ Preparing, reviewing and uploading monthly journal entries for month-end close.
§ Reviewing, documenting and resolving variances in monthly preliminary Financial Statements
prior to distribution.
§ Preparing various audit schedules as requested.
§ Creating and maintaining key process flows related to position.
§ Functioning as interdepartmental liaison in regards to accounting policies and procedures.
§ Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of financial software used for revenue
recognition process.
§ Special projects as assigned.
- Execute accurate reporting, filing, and database management in multiple systems
- Secure financial information by conducting database backups and maintaining strict confidentiality
Qualifications
§ Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Accounting, Finance or related field is required
§ Work Experience
4-7 years accounting experience required
Skills and Requirements
He or she must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges. Specific technology knowledge and experience needed to produce the desired outcomes include the following: Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
He or she must possess a natural proficiency with math
He/she must have a strong command of business English. He/she must be able to offer a warm but business-like presence through the spoken word. Fluent interaction with all levels of staff and customers
He or she must have knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles
He/she must be proficient in preparing standard correspondence using correct grammar, spelling and syntax, while providing accurate information
He or she must have Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
He or she must have proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems.

Pay:$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
