Position Title: Forklift Driver - Shipping
Location: Interstate Gratings LLC, Lindon UT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:30 pm to 1:00 am

Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our steel bar grating manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely transporting finished steel grating products throughout the facility and loading/unloading trucks efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will work closely with production and fabrication teams to support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced manufactured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the manufacturing facility and yard
- Load and unload steel bar grating, raw materials, and finished products from trucks and trailers
- Transport materials between production, fabrication, and shipping areas
- Verify product quantities, sizes, tags, and shipping documentation before loading shipments
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately
- Assist with organizing inventory, staging materials, and maintaining clean work areas
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed
- Assist production and fabrication teams with material movement to maintain workflow efficiency
- Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transportation or storage
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
- Forklift certification preferred (in-house certification)
- Experience handling heavy steel materials or industrial products is a plus
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work on feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment, steel materials, and industrial machinery
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing temperatures and conditions
Schedule & Flexibility:
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Optional Overtime on some Saturdays- depending on backlog
- Day and Swing shift opportunities available
