Stone, Rudolph & Henry, PLC is a full service public accounting firm that has served clients in the Clarksville, Tennessee and Fort Campbell, Kentucky areas for over 50 years by providing accounting, auditing, tax preparation, and tax planning services. Our firm’s continued growth has created a need for another senior tax accountant. We are seeking an experienced individual to help our clients navigate their tax obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize our Lacerte tax software to prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses (partnerships, c-corporations, and s-corporations). Other types of tax returns may also be assigned based on experience.
- Review tax returns prepared by our tax staff.
- Communicate with clients to obtain information needed to prepare their tax return.
- Assist with new client calls and meetings.
- Identify and communicate tax planning strategies to our clients by reviewing the client’s current and upcoming tax situations, conducting research, and utilizing our tax planning software.
- Research tax matters and assist with IRS and state tax notices.
- Be comfortable working independently and collaboratively with partners, managers, and other team members.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Active CPA or EA license (or in process of obtaining)
- Minimum of 3 years of tax experience preparing individual and business tax returns
- Willingness to learn new software if unfamiliar (Lacerte, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 annually
- 36-hour work week (April 16th through December 31st)
