Job Summary:
Diesel Fleet Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of diesel trucks and Intermodal Chassis Fleet. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to maintain high safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the truck fleet and equipment fleet.
- Diagnose issues regarding air brake systems, mechanical, and electrical components.
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Coordinate with Operations to address complex mechanical issues.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, specifically with air brakes, hydraulics, and tractor-trailer maintenance.
- Specialized training in diagnosing major components such as engines and transmissions.
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and a commitment to full attendance.
Work Schedule- 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Capacity to stand, climb, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs (including pushing/pulling truck tires).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
