Duties
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of all pastry menus, ensuring consistency and creativity in every item
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, baking, cake decorating, and food handling to maintain efficiency and quality standards
- Manage high-volume production of baked goods and desserts while adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols
- Supervise and mentor pastry staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on skill development and culinary excellence
- Ensure proper packaging of baked goods for retail or catering purposes, maintaining presentation standards and freshness
- Collaborate with culinary management to develop new recipes, seasonal offerings, and catering menus that excite our guests
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring ingredient levels, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste through effective food production practices
- Uphold rigorous food safety management practices across all pastry operations to ensure compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in pastry arts with a strong background in baking, cake decorating, and food preparation within a high-volume food industry environment
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on baked goods, desserts, and confectionery items
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing kitchen teams in fast-paced restaurant or catering settings
