Job Summary
As this position will require frequent daily/weekly travel within NYC and Long Island, you must currently reside in the Metro NY or Nassau County, Long Island area. Out-of-state resumes will be rejected unless an explanation is provided.
A reliable vehicle is required for travel and occasional trips to the Capital District.
Donate Life NYS is New York’s leading nonprofit dedicated to increasing organ, eye, and tissue donation. We manage the New York State Donate Life Registry, lead awareness campaigns, advocate for life-saving policies, and build strategic partnerships to ensure every New Yorker in need has access to a transplant.
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Partnerships & Community Programs to drive and expand our program initiatives across New York City and Long Island. You will design and implement programs, cultivate partnerships, and translate opportunities into measurable impact, working closely with state and city agencies, healthcare organizations, schools, and corporate partners.
Duties
- Lead Programs: Design, implement, and manage programs that increase donor registrations and awareness; measure success and refine strategies using data.
- Build Partnerships: Serve as primary relationship manager for NYC and Long Island partners, cultivating long-term, high-impact collaborations that advance Donate Life NYS’ mission.
- Support Fundraising: Collaborate with Development to identify funding opportunities, provide program insights, and support proposals and campaigns.
- Amplify Public Awareness: Work with PR and communications to highlight program successes and community impact.
- Operate Independently: Lead cross-functional initiatives, manage multiple priorities remotely, and ensure program excellence.
- Travel: Ability to work remotely with frequent travel throughout NYC and Long Island required.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years in nonprofit program management, partnership development, or related leadership roles.
- Strategic thinker and problem-solver who designs innovative programs and anticipates challenges.
- Skilled relationship-builder, comfortable engaging diverse stakeholders including government, healthcare, corporate, and community leaders.
- Organized, self-directed, and effective in a remote work environment.
- Strong communicator with a passion for mission-driven work and exceptional customer service.
- Data-savvy and skilled in project management, with a proven ability to track progress and ensure results.
- Ability to work remotely.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
