Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with Dr. Chopra and our team to deliver high-quality clinical care and ensure a seamless experience for our patients. The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a luxury, concierge-style practice. They are highly detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering an elevated patient experience through professionalism, discretion, and personalized care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Patient Intake: Escort patients to exam rooms, record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, pulse ox), and document medical histories and current medications in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Physician Assistance: Assist doctor during clinical examinations, minor in-office procedures, and pre/post-op appointments
- Patient Care & Education: Provide clear pre- and post-procedure care instructions, explain treatment plans, and address patient questions as directed by the physician.
- Sterilization & Maintenance: Prepare, clean, and sanitize exam rooms and instruments between patients. Keep clinical inventory stocked and report supply shortages.
- Front Office Support: During slower clinic periods or when the physician is out of the office, assist with front desk operations, including answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, responding to patient inquiries, managing clinical messages, and supporting other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) designation preferred, not required.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an outpatient clinical setting preferred.
Skills:
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management software.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, and clinical hygiene standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, compassionate phone manner.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
