Job Description
Title: Machine Operator
Job Purpose: The Production Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications
-
Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances
-
Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications
-
Know corrective actions to bring product up to standards when output product does not meet acceptable quality
-
Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces
-
Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance
-
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area
-
Ability to follow directions and work well in a team

Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations
-
Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation
-
Understand and follow production work orders
-
Keep track of raw material consumption and product output via production tags
-
Must possess a sense of urgency while keeping safety foremost
Recommended Skills and Other Requirements:
-
At least one year of related experience required.

Understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable a non-climate-controlled warehouse facility
-
Must be willing to work flexible hours and days when required
Physical Requirements:
-
Prolonged periods working while standing, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.

Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
-
Ability to work with various hand tools specific to machine
Required Education:

High School diploma or GED
