Schedule: Full-time or Part-time options available, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Flexible hours between 7:30am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Salary: Base salary $50 - $67/hour + production bonus, depending on experience and qualifications.

Progress Weight Management is the leading cardiometabolic clinic in Fargo, ND, offering innovative, patient-centered care for individuals dealing with obesity and weight-related health conditions. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a focus on obesity medicine and weight management to join our growing team. This role offers the flexibility of part-time or full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive individualized care for patients with excess weight or obesity including medical conditions that contribute to or are impacted by their weight.
- Anti-Obesity Medication Management: Evaluate and manage pharmacological treatment options, including GLP-1s, adjusting therapy based on patient response and tolerance.
- Patient Education: Offer patient education and counseling on lifestyle modifications, medical and surgical options, and long-term weight management strategies.
- Diagnostics: Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests and diagnostic studies to guide treatment decisions and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborative Care: Work with and refer to local professionals to ensure holistic multidisciplinary care is provided.
- Follow-Up: Monitor patient progress at regular intervals and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes and changing needs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards.

- Patient-Centered Approach: A passion for providing compassionate, personalized care for patients dealing with excess weight or obesity.
- Thorough Knowledge of Cardiometabolic Medication Management including Anti-Obesity: Expertise or strong interest in managing pharmacological treatments for obesity and its related comorbidities.
- Excellent Communication: Ability to explain complex medical concepts in a way patients can easily understand and ability to meet patients where they are.
- Team Player: Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Strong Clinical Judgment: Comfortable managing chronic disease and adjusting treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Seeking growth to build your practice for long term patient relationship and continued knowledge expansion.
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of North Dakota.
- Licensed in Minnesota or willing to obtain licensure in Minnesota.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (NP) or graduate of an accredited PA program, with current national certification (board certification for NP; NCCPA certification for PA).
- Experience in weight management, endocrinology, or primary care preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
- EMR proficiency preferred.
- Completion of additional certification through the Obesity Medicine Association is expected within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to assist patients and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
