Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Low Voltage Technician to join our team and drive excellence in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage telecommunications and networking systems. Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic cabling, Ethernet networks, VoIP telephony, and structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6).
- Oversee field service activities ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, telecommunications testing equipment, and RF testers to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately install and troubleshoot complex telecommunications systems.
- Supervise team members on-site during fiber splicing, network wiring, equipment repair, and cable termination tasks to ensure quality workmanship.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their communication needs, provide expert guidance on system design, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout project execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed, including test results, system configurations, and service reports for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in low-voltage electrical wiring, telecommunications systems, or data center environments.
- Extensive knowledge of LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya telephony systems, and network installation best practices.
- Hands-on experience with fiber optic systems installation—including splicing—and troubleshooting advanced networking equipment such as switches and routers.
- Familiarity with NEC electrical codes related to low-voltage wiring installations and adherence to safety standards.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment for precise system setup and maintenance.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members alike.
- Prior leadership experience managing projects or supervising technicians in telecommunications or IT environments is highly desirable.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
