Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct patient care, engaging with children in various settings to encourage skill development and behavioral improvements.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records of patient progress, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct patient assessments and participate in diagnostic evaluations as needed.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide support and guidance on behavioral strategies.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Stay informed about best practices in behavioral therapy and apply them consistently during sessions.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is PREFERRED, particularly in a therapeutic or educational setting.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis techniques and principles is PREFERRED.
- Understanding of patient assessment methodologies and the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy when interacting with children and their families.
