Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food safety sanitizing procedures are followed meticulously to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and toppings to keep offerings fresh and exciting
- Maintain high-volume production standards while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control
- Support the team with food production tasks including dough preparation, topping distribution, and cooking techniques like grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling
- Uphold excellent food safety management practices to ensure quality and compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially with pizza or similar cuisine preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on serving customers with enthusiasm and professionalism
