Duration & Type: 12 months Contract with a major pharmaceutical industry client
Location: Holly Springs, North Carolina (50% remote capability during ramp-up, then up to 80% remote)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management and overall coordination, status reporting and stability of a variety of enterprise-wide projects.
- Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet team expectations.
- Responsible for assembling project plans, teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis.
- Identifies resource needs, performs project reviews, assesses and mitigates risk.
- Escalates technical and timeline issues appropriately.
- Responsible for tracking costs, key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the team/program.
- Provides facilitation of meeting logistics, including scheduling, agendas and minutes.
- Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed.
- Identifies issues that may delay project deliverables and recommends risk mitigation strategies, contingencies, and actions, when appropriate.
- May work closely with internal departments and outside vendors to ensure project completion. Other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (i.e. biology, chemistry)
- 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or regulated science business environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with a wide range of seniority
- 3 years project management experience
- Technical and/or R&D background with CMC experience strongly preferred
- MS Project experience preferred
