Job Description
BASE Painters is a specialty coatings contractor performing high-profile commercial and structural projects nationwide, including stadiums, towers, structural steel, and other complex elevated environments.
We are building a roster of experienced Construction Site Leads for upcoming projects in 2026 and beyond.
This is a field leadership position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day jobsite operations, manage crews, plan production, communicate with project management, and keep projects moving.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate field crews on commercial and structural coating projects
- Plan daily and weekly production to meet project schedules
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and site logistics
- Monitor production and identify problems before they affect the schedule
- Maintain safety and quality standards
- Verify employee time and submit accurate daily field reports
- Communicate daily with BASE 's project management
- Coordinate with general contractors and other trades when required
- Maintain a professional jobsite and client presence
- Take ownership of field issues and follow them through to resolution
Requirements
- Previous construction foreman, superintendent, site lead, or similar field leadership experience
- Experience directly supervising field crews
- Ability to plan work and manage production, manpower, materials, and equipment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable using mobile apps for daily reporting, photos, timekeeping, and project documentation
- Willingness to travel for project-based work
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred, but not required
- Commercial or industrial painting/coatings experience
- Structural steel experience
- Experience on stadiums, bridges, towers, or other large structures
- Rope access experience
- SPRAT or IRATA certification
- OSHA 10/30 or other construction safety training
What We’re Looking For
We are not simply looking for an experienced painter or rope-access technician.
We are looking for someone who knows how to run work.
The right person thinks ahead, knows what the crew will need tomorrow and next week, keeps track of materials and equipment, communicates problems early, holds people accountable, and understands that production and documentation are part of running a successful project.
Rope-access knowledge is valuable, but leadership and construction field-management ability are more important for this position.
To Apply
Please submit your resume and briefly describe:
- A construction project where you were responsible for leading the field operation
- Crew size
- Type of work performed
- Duration of the project
- Your responsibility for scheduling and production
- Your responsibility for materials, equipment, and manpower
Indeed Qualifications section: leave it blank.
And I'd keep the $38–$45/hour range you already had in the posting. That fits the fact that this is supposed to be a legitimate field leadership position, not just another technician.
