Overview
Join our dynamic security team as a Community Patrol Officer (Armed), where you will play a vital role in safeguarding our communites, property, and personnel. This position involves proactive patrolling, incident prevention, and rapid response to various security situations. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas using access control systems and CCTV surveillance to monitor activity and detect potential security breaches.
- Respond swiftly to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, utilizing conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to resolve issues peacefully.
- Write detailed incident reports accurately documenting observations, actions taken, and outcomes to ensure clear communication and legal compliance.
- Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as part of access control procedures to maintain high security standards.
- Operate firearms, Tasers, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and other security equipment following strict safety protocols.
- Assist with heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when required for equipment or evidence movement while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Support loss prevention initiatives by monitoring CCTV footage, conducting surveillance operations, and preventing theft or vandalism.
Skills
- Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or armed security roles with knowledge of firearm handling and safety procedures.
- Strong surveillance skills utilizing CCTV systems and access control technology for effective monitoring.
- Excellent incident report writing abilities with attention to detail and clarity.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures including CPR, first aid, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough security assessments of individuals or premises.
- Exceptional customer service skills combined with the ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Physical fitness for patrol duties involving heavy lifting, prolonged standing or walking, and manual handling tasks.
