Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Family Medicine. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, with experience across various clinical settings. As an LPN, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate nursing support, assisting with patient assessments, and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed orders while adhering to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures.
- Manage IV infusions, catheter care, wound suturing, and sterile techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation of patient interactions, procedures performed, and treatment plans using EMR/EHR systems.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse in diverse clinical settings including hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation and communication.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical terminology relevant to acute pain management, infectious disease care, or hospice services.
- Familiarity with medical procedures and first aid techniques.
- Ability to work effectively within others.
