Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Device Assembler in the Richmond/Katy area to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling complex medical devices with precision, ensuring compliance with strict industry standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
Duties
- Assemble medical devices by following detailed work instructions and technical drawings, ensuring all components fit accurately and function correctly.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify component dimensions and maintain quality standards.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during assembly, including soldering components when required.
- Conduct inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects or inconsistencies, adhering to strict quality control procedures.
- Prepare devices for packaging by performing final assembly steps, sterilization processes, and documentation in compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
- Assist in the integration of plastics injection molding components into assemblies, ensuring proper fit and function.
- Support the packaging process by preparing finished products for shipment while maintaining cleanliness and regulatory compliance within the cleanroom environment.
- Follow all safety protocols related to working in a cleanroom setting, including proper gowning procedures and handling sensitive materials.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot assembly issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing or assembly roles within the medical device industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 standards, FDA regulations, and CGMP practices relevant to medical device production.
- Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers; mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Knowledge of soldering techniques, plastics injection molding processes, and use of hand tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions accurately.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment with strict adherence to cleanliness protocols.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality assurance.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- (3) or more years of relevant work experience
- Basic PC navigation (Data entry, Emailing, word processing and spreadsheets).
- Operating skills of manufacturing equipment, tools preferred
Shift:
- Monday - Thursday (7:30 am to 6 pm) and Fridays as needed.
