Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs and updating medical histories using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked for efficient patient visits.
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures to support patient treatment plans.
- Support medical documentation by accurately recording patient encounters, procedures, and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out processes, and maintain organized medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience during visits.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency departments, and trauma centers to deliver comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Valid certification or registration as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and medical terminology.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding principles.
- Hands-on experience with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support certification.
- Experience working in specialized environments such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units (including PICU or Geriatrics), urgent care centers, or trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical settings including inpatient hospital units or outpatient clinics with diverse patient populations.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
