Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately using dental imaging equipment.
- Conduct patient assessments by measuring vital signs and evaluating oral health status.
- Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental instruments.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Hands-on experience with dental x-ray procedures, X-ray safety protocols, and radiation safety standards.
- Expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control management, including sterilization procedures and aseptic technique.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health practices.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance management to ensure privacy and security of medical records.
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
