Overview
Join our dynamic security team as an Armed Concierge Guard, a vital role dedicated to safeguarding our premises with professionalism, vigilance, and a proactive approach. This position requires a PPSB (Private Security Business License) to ensure compliance with local security regulations and standards. As an Armed Concierge Guard, you will serve as the first line of defense, providing exceptional security services while maintaining excellent customer relations. Your expertise in firearm handling, surveillance, and emergency response will be essential in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors, staff, and residents.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points using advanced access control systems to verify authorized personnel and visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including CCTV surveillance and physical inspections, to identify potential security threats or breaches.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security breaches.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity, security breaches, or accidents for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Perform background checks on new staff or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure safety standards are upheld.
- Operate emergency equipment such as AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), fire extinguishers, Taser devices, and firearms following strict safety protocols.
- Engage in conflict de-escalation and conflict management techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring security cooperation.
- Conduct thorough searches and manual handling procedures during security checks or when managing restricted areas.
- Maintain compliance with all security regulations and company policies to uphold the highest standards of physical security and customer service.
Experience
- Proven experience in security roles with a focus on armed security or law enforcement background preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation and access control systems.
- Training in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and emergency response procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with firearm handling, Taser deployment, heavy lifting, and manual handling techniques required for physical security tasks.
- Strong incident report writing skills with attention to detail for documentation accuracy.
- Experience working in environments requiring conflict de-escalation and conflict management skills.
- Ability to perform background checks efficiently while adhering to privacy laws and regulations.
